Me and My Ghoulfriends by Rose Pressey is an amazing book. It has been one of the best books I'Ve read in a very long time. Rose makes this book both funny, scary and extremely entertaining. It has everything you need in a good paranormal romance and its not over the top sex like alot of books out there now. I look forward to reading more of this series and a few of Rose Pressey's other series.
"Larue is a all around wholesome girl next door... well with one exception she can see and communicate with the dead. She thinks she has found the "right guy" but things just don't seem to be going as planned. Will it work out or will ectoplasm hit the fan."

***REVIEW***Opal Fire by Barbra Annino ***5 stars***
Opal Fire was an amazing read. I couldn't put it down!!! There is just enough magic, mystery and romance in the story, its very refreshing not to have one over power the other. Stacy the main character is hilarious, some of the situations she gets into leave you wondering what she could possibly do to top it and she always does. Her cousin, Cinnamon, is the tough girl of the group. Their are 3 elder witches, Birdie, their grandma and head witch; Lolly the lovable half-wit and Fiona the Liz Taylor of her time. There are sooo many awesome characters that I can't tell you about all of them but rest assured you will love them all. I couldn't wait to get the next book so I bought it right away. I look forward to reading more of Barbra Annino's work and I hope you love it as much as I did.

Leperchaun Miracle or just a shadow???
Hi, I was recently in my home town to help my Mom clean up after her home was destroyed by a tornado. While we were looking around and taking pics we got a surprise. It appears to be a Leperchaun with his pot of gold and he seems to change with each picture. I know its a shadow right and shadows change depending on the sun BUT these were taken one after the other. Please share this video and let us know what you think. I have posted a video on YouTube look for Brandyzbooks page. Here are a few of the pics...
Please be sure to share this with friends, we would like to get your opinion. Be Nice please if you can't be then DO NOT Comment here or on You Tube.
Thanks,

***REVIEW*** Children of the King Book One: Washed Under the Waves by Gloria Clover
Blurb
A prince in disguise.
An unknown island. Tsunami. Political coup. Pirates with lasers. And true love.
In the future, when the King sends out his children to reclaim the lost lands, Prince Geoffrey Athan D’Ambrose quests to Undae Island, the smallest of all lands in its archipelago. Top of his class and eager to prove his worth, Athan chafes at the need to be disguised as a tutor.
Lady Tayte Bashan knows her black hair doesn’t qualify her to rule any island, let alone one in such disrepair. She hopes when the prophesied prince arrives he picks another bride.
The people of Undae hide from their past pain in the pleasures of entertainment. Then, a darker need surfaces. And the waves rise.

Review
This book was interesting and but a little confusing when they talk about the King. I was told it was a futuristic book and it was BUT it all took place on an island that had never been touch since it was first inhabited by a Roman's family atleast until a man who was shipwrecked and 2 who landed with parachutes about 100 years before the story starts. They didn't really bring much to the island as far as technology so they have lived the same way for thousands of years.
It is your basic prince and princess romance with "The King" whom you later discover to be Jesus in the mix. I like how they bring "The King" to the people of the Island but I found there interaction with Jesus alittle far fetched. I pray, but they see him and carry on long conversations and he comes to them in person and celebrates with them at there festival. I don't know if the Rapture has taken place and he is on earth with us or if it is another explaination. It turned me off alittle but not enough that I didn't want to read the whole book.
The drama on the island picks up as the book goes along and there are some amazing twists and turns in the story that leave to wanting more right up till the end. Some scenes drag while others go by way to fast. I would love to read the 2nd book in this series, if only to see where they author goes from here.

***Review*** The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe
"Have you not considered the distinct possibility that the accused were simply guilty of witchcraft?"
Connie Goodwin thinks her academic advisor is teasing her; she has mastered the scholarship surrounding the Salem witch trials of 1692 and knows the question he poses is preposterous. She never suspects that answering it will alter everything she knows about the past, her family, and the professor himself.
Sent by her mother to prepare her long-deceased grandmother's home for sale, Connie finds a decrepit dwelling filled with venerable oddities, including a collection of ancient bottles filled with peculiar liquids and powders. On her first night there, Connie chances on a crumbling bit of paper, bearing the words "Deliverance Dane," that has been carefully hidden inside a key tucked between the pages of a 300-year-old family Bible. Combing the local church registry for traces of this mysterious name, Connie strikes up an acquaintance with Sam, a steeplejack engaged in the church s preservation. Together they piece together Deliverance's tragic story and learn of her precious book of spells and recipes for healing potions. When a series of sinister events threaten Sam's life, Connie's search for the book is transformed from scholarly pursuit to a matter of life and death -- and love

REVIEW
This was an interesting book. I loved how history overlapped with what was going on in the future. This book is about the discovery of a new person accused of being a witch during the Salem Witch Trials and finding her "book" and how her grandaughter, many times removed, discovers it and her powers. It is about love and lose and discovery and of course it has an evil eliment.
The problem with this book is it's sooo slow paced atleast until the last few chapters where it all starts to come together. For that alone I gave it 2 out of 5 starts. I don't like being bored in a book and this one unfortuanatly was boring. The history facts were interesting but the current timeline just dragged along.
I do not know if I would read another of this authors books, it would REALLY have to stand out to me.
